Army commanders in Indonesia are deciding on how to respond to the killing of eight soldiers in two separate attacks in a remote province of Papua.
Seven soldiers died in an ambush while picking up equipment from the airport in the remote highlands of Puncak Jaya district on Thursday. Another soldier was shot dead at a new military post not far away. Al Jazeera's Step Vaessen reports from Jakarta, where suspicion has fallen on the Free Papua Movement, a group fighting for independence. |
