Pastor Nafuki to meet PM over alleged invitation

The Chairman of Vanuatu West Papua Association and Unification Committee (VWPAUC), Pastor Allan Nafuki, says his Executive is meeting with Prime Minister Bob Loughman about whether or not the Government has been invited by the Government of Indonesia to be part of a delegation to visit West Papua.
The Committee is also concerned that the name of one of its members is reported to be included on the list of delegates named to travel to Jayapura, Provincial Capital of West Papua, while Jakarta has remained silent on the Pacific Islands Forum’s urgent demand to allow the Chairman of UN Human Rights Commissioner, to visit West Papua to prepare a report on the situation on the ground for PIF.
Furthermore, it is concerned that if there is any substance in the reported invitation then the Chairman of VWPUAC should have been sent an invitation.

VWPUAC is not aware of anyone else in Port Vila apart from the members of its Committee, to be responsible for the plights of the people of West Papua.
The Committee is proud to be the one and only body in the Pacific and the world representing the population of Vanuatu that remains committed towards the constant call for the long overdue freedom of the people of West Papua.
