He explained that the police came to Tabuni’s residence because they received a report from the community. “We are responding to reports related to community gathering activities carried out by Buchtar Tabuni as they do not have a permit and are considered to have disturbed the community,” he said.

Mackbon said that Tabuni’s activities were considered contrary to the ideology of the State because he had formed a temporary government named the West Papua Council. “Buchtar is still being questioned by our investigators regarding the activities he carried out for three days, related to ideology contrary to the State’s,” he said.
