Hundreds of Crowds Disbanded, 21 People Arrested!

UPDATES | The Indonesian police acted repressively, 21 people were arrested and hundreds of West Papuan masses were forcibly dispersed in a peaceful demonstration supporting full membership of the ULMWP at the MSG, Wednesday (12/07/2023).

The masses that had gathered from around Abe and Waena at the Expo were forcibly dispersed by the Indonesian Police, 15 other people were arrested. Here are the names:

4. Kinus Tabuni

5. Tundis Telenggen

6. Judas is a beauty

7. Rais Kilungga

8. Ina Wanimbo

9. Elinus Wenda

10. Viki Wenda

12. Airon Tabuni

13. Enas Wenda

14. Turbo Gombo

15. Yanus karoba

Then in the Sentani area, at around 08:30, the police blocked a crowd that wanted to gather at the Pos 7 gathering point and dispersed it, and 6 action coordinators were arrested and brought to the police station.

Yesterday, Tuesday (11/07) the police intercepted the action coordinator who wanted to temporarily distribute flyers for the peaceful demonstration for July 12, 2023.

Without much further ado, the police immediately arrested 10 people who were temporarily distributing leaflets on the street action and were taken to the office for interrogation.
