Sorong, West Papua (ANTARA) - Four Indonesian Army soldiers were murdered while one went missing after being attacked by members of an unidentified group at Kisor military post in South Aifat Sub-district, Maybrat District, West Papua Province, on Thursday at 3 a.m. local time.

Lieutenant Colonel Arm Hendra Pesireron , spokesman of the Regional Military Command XVIII/Kasuari, confirmed about the fatal attack and the bodies were currently being retrieved.

The fallen army officers were identified as Second Sergeant Amrosius, Chief Private Dirham, First Private Zul Ansari, and First Lieutenant Chb Dirman while First Private Ikbal is yet untraceable.

They were ambushed while sleeping in the military post in Kisor. Three bodies were found at the post, while the other one was discovered in the bushes not far from the post.
